New Moon was the black hour of my own life

I have never really noticed how much a book can take a toll on a person's life. The second book of the saga, New Moon, was that book for me.

I had taken this book out of my Indigo the day after I read Twilight at least three times. It wasn't at my local library, and I needed to read the book so badly after I read reviews on my library website and I learned the Edward wanted to go and die for Bella. *fangirl moment*

Here I was late at night, in my room, reading the first three chapters, before I looked at him saying goodbye to her, and tears rolling down my cheek. The next few hundred pages were so painful for me to read, so guess what I did? I skipped to the part when Alice came. Yeah, I know, wierd. I just couldn't handle it.

So when I find out Edward went to Volterra, I shrieked. I literally shrieked. I was so happy that he actually loved her. :D

So I continued the story until the end, and damn was I happy when they got together. I loved the bedroom scene (I hope it comes for the movie).

When I finished reading it, I felt ok, and went back to read the parts which I skipped. I loved, then, the cliff diving scene. I knew that Bella would make it out alive - she was the main character!!! I can't say I loved Jacob in this. I loved him in the first book as he had a very little role, and I found it cute for him to have a crush on her. But I found him to be pushing it in New Moon. Overall, when I was reading this book, I knew my family and friends felt the difference. New Moon was the black hour of my own life. I could really feel depressed as if I was in Bella's shoes.
This was a very good book, but I wouldn't want to read it again and go through my black hour again.
Nonetheless, this gripping tale of losing love and the gaining it back and action is one of my favourites of all time.
