So I have never really explained why I have loved this series so much. Well, I am in love with the love that Edward has for his Bella. From the beginning of the series, I realized that Edward was going to be one of those fictional characters who every girl wants. But as it progressed I realized that Edward was so much more. He had much more character than his pretty face and sweetness. He wanted to be the good guy even if it meant to leave the soul and his world.
"What if I'm not the hero? What if I'm the bad guy?" -Edward
I didn't love the series, contrary to belief, only because of Edward. I loved it because of Bella. Bella is an ordinary character who every young girl can relate to. She is not anyone special. Her character shows that anything can happen to anyone. Yet, she is also strikingly interesting. Her accident proneness and her other attributes makes her story a bit more interesting than it were someone else.
The other characters in this series interest me as well but not as much as Emmett. He is the character who represents the protector of the family. He is the one who is the brotherly figure to Bella, seeing as she has no siblings. I just love his few quotes he says, but they are classic. I just love his appearance as he represents the humorous one.
The plot of the first book was very intriguing as I realized that from the beginning this was not going to be your everyday romance. I very much liked the subtly and the slow motion of the relationship in the book and I realized that this romance would last. Apart from the romance, the tension of Edward trying not to kill Bella was evident and it kept me on the book, not bored. And when the nomads arrived I realized that I was going to be sad. I was scared for when Bella's mother was taken by James. As gullible as I am, I believed what James had said to B
ella. Yet when James was killed and Bella was saved, I realized that I wanted to be a vampire so badly. I wanted to save and have awesome powers. Or I wanted to be in love with a vampire, where he could save me always. And the prom scene ~ self explanatory. It was beautiful.
After I read Twilight, all I could say was "Wow, I want an Edward."
And all I could say was that I wanted to stay in this world forever. I didn't want to let go of Twilight ever.
Or at least until I read New Moon.
